Frequently asked questions

The answers
you need

Workshop, warranty, trade-in, opening hours: the questions we get asked most over the counter, answered once and for all. Not finding yours? Write to us: you get an answer from the people who work in the shop, not from a call centre.

01Workshop and service

01 Do you also repair bikes that were not bought from you?

Yes, any bike of any brand, pedal-powered or electric, even if you did not buy it from us. Our in-house workshop looks after traditional bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, wheelie bikes and e-bikes.

02 Do I need an appointment to bring my bike in?

Not for quick checks: come to the shop and we look at it together. For bigger jobs we tell you the timing and the quote right away, so you can decide calmly.

03 What does a service include?

We check the frame and the parts under most stress (seatpost, saddle, handlebar and stem) to rule out cracks and unusual wear. Then we move on to the bottom bracket, headset, hubs and chainset, and we check the wear on the chain, sprockets, chainrings and brake pads. Cables and housings are replaced if they are rusty or stiff.

04 Do you repair e-bikes as well?

Yes. The workshop is equipped for traditional bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, wheelie bikes and e-bikes, and our mechanics train regularly to keep up with the technology going onto bikes.

05 How do you wash a bike?

In stages. The drivetrain first: we take it off, soak it in solvent, brush it, then dry it and lubricate it. The frame is washed with pressurised soapy water, keeping the jet away from bearings and paint, with soft-bristle brushes for the hidden spots. The detergents we use are low-alkaline and biodegradable.

06 Why wash it if it does not look dirty?

Because dust, mud and grit are abrasive and they hide cracks, failures and wear. A clean bike is far easier to inspect: you see straight away what is wrong, before it becomes a serious problem.

02Before you buy

07 Can I try the bike before buying it?

Yes. You try it before you buy it: we arrange a road test, so you choose without any doubts.

08 What is a bike fit?

It is the adjustment of your position on the bike, worked out from your inside leg measurement as well. It is there to make you comfortable and to let you push better: with the right position, the same bike feels like a different one.

09 Do you take my old bike in part exchange?

Yes, we do part exchange at any age. You bring us your used bike, we value it and the valuation becomes a discount on the new one.

10 Which brands do you carry?

Lombardo, SMP, XP, GTA, and every now and then a new brand we have picked ourselves joins the range. On top of that we build our own Wheelie Bikes, assembled by hand and customised here in Legnano.

03The shop

11 How long is the warranty?
